Propagation through tissue culture is one of the vegetative propagation techniques. Seedlings obtained by utilizing the cells and tissues of the parent plant in sterilized laboratory conditions maintain their origins and grow into healthy, disease-free individuals. Despite the increasing use of propagation techniques in landscape and ornamental plant production, producers are forced to import some seedling varieties. Aymuz Seedlings, a Devtaş Group subsidiary, offers promise for ornamental plant producers. We present this for your consideration!    

Devtaş Group subsidiary Aymuz Fide

Starting agricultural activities in Antalya in 2019 Devtas It produces tropical fruits, primarily bananas, on a site covering over 1,000,000 m². It also offers packaging, storage, fertilization, and consulting services. It produces strawberries and blueberries under the Ayberry brand, dried fruit under the Crunchay brand, and frozen food (IQF) under the Queen Fresh brand. Now, let's get to the part that directly concerns us... Devtaş owns one of Türkiye's largest tissue culture laboratories, Aymuz Seedlings. With an annual production capacity exceeding 7 million seedlings, it is a leader in the sector. The seedling facility, with its 1,500 m² indoor area, meticulously conducts every stage of production, including sterilization and acclimatization in the greenhouse. (By the way, acclimatization refers to the process of acclimating plants from one location to another and adapting them to the climate, soil, and other conditions of their growing location.)

From tissue culture in low numbers

Aymuz Seedling, süs bitkisi fidesi de üreten uzman bir ekibe sahip. Bu teknik ekip, üretim kalitesinin artırmak için adeta her çeşide özgü özel bir ARGE yapıyor. For example, if you deliver a single, uninfected piece of material, you can still receive approximately 1,000 seedlings from that piece. These numbers vary depending on the species and variety.
