TSE Standard and SÜSBİR
The TSE standard in ornamental plants is the most important proof of the sector's awareness, official acceptance and development, both officially and unofficially.
As a professional organization, SÜSBİR's institutional structure is increasingly prominent, making its presence felt as a significant sectoral force. SÜSBİR's Ornamental Plants Sector Marketing Systems Development Workshop was held in Antalya on February 17-18. Let's not beat around the bush. The workshop was the best event SÜSBİR has ever organized. The working groups formed at the workshop, their discussions, and their reports were all very noteworthy. The recommendations outlined in the reports are gradually being implemented. We share the same sentiments regarding the work carried out on March 8, International Working Women's Day, and other regional unity activities.
More importantly, the union's three-year collaboration with the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) resulted in the adoption of three standards for ornamental plants. In our opinion, the TSE standard for ornamental plants is the most significant proof of the sector's recognition, official recognition, and development, both officially and unofficially. With the establishment of these standards, the Ornamental Plants and Landscape Sector will receive greater attention and recognition in the international market. Indeed, Italians and the Dutch have begun requesting various products from our producers. Contacts with producers in Yalova, Kestel, and Ödemiş Bayındır continue. There's still a long way to go, but we congratulate everyone involved.
