Türkiye hosts international city parks meeting

The Landscape Istanbul Fair, a venue for international sectoral and professional gatherings, will take place from November 16-18, 2023. This year, the fair will also host a major event of interest to manufacturers, sectoral companies, and landscape architects. The World Urban Park Symposium, jointly organized by Athane Fairs and the World Urban Parks Organization, will last three days. Experts will discuss topics such as the importance of parks for society and the environment, their financing, sustainability, combating climate change, and sustainable water use.

Speakers who are experts in their fields…

Among the experts participating in the World Urban Park Symposium will be Dr. Ahmad Tawfik, leader of a project aimed at reducing water use in public parks and green spaces in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Tawfik will share with the audience the project's success in reducing irrigation water use by 75 percent. Another speaker, Paul Rabbits, President of the UK Park Management Association, will discuss the revolution in urban park construction and management.
