Can we give up on grass?

Agricultural Engineer Ahmet Gülgün was in Adana as an invitee of the Adana Chamber of Landscape Architects. 
Is it possible to abandon grass in landscaping, or rather, in built landscapes? We now know this is unrealistic. Considering many factors, such as the climate crisis, declining water resources, and the cost of landscaping and lawn maintenance, it's clear that the perspective on grass and lawns needs to change. Agricultural engineer Ahmet Gülgün (Mucize Çim), who has been working on sustainable lawns and lawns in Türkiye for many years, was in Adana at the invitation of the Adana Chamber of Landscape Architects. The talk, held on April 22, 2025, was organized with the contributions of Çukurova University's Department of Landscape Architecture and the Adana Metropolitan Municipality. Students also participated in the talk, which included landscape architects and landscape professionals. It would be fair to say that the Q&A session was met with considerable interest.
